President Muhammadu Buhari on
Friday approved the appointment of a
former Deputy Governor of the
Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Tunde
Lemo, as the Chairman of the Board of
Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.

According to a statement by the
Assistant Director (Press) in the Office
of the Secretary to the Government of
the Federation, Mohammed Nakorji, the
President also approved the
appointments of the board’s members.

The board members, according to the
statement, are – Nurudeen Rafindadi;
Buba Abdullahi; Babagana Aji; Shehu
Abdullahi and Loretta Aniagolu.

Others
are Mujaidu Dako; Vincent Kolawole;
Chukwunwike Uzo;?Olubunmi
Siyanbola; Abdulrazak Ma’aji; Saidu
Abdulkadir and Peter Osawe.
The appointments are subject to the
confirmation of the Senate.
According to the statement, the
President also approved the re-
appointment of Mr. Peter Ewesor, as the
Managing Director of Nigerian
Electricity Management Service Agency

for a final term of four years in
accordance with the provisions of
Section 7(3) of the Nigerian Electricity
Management Services Agency Act,
2015 .

Ewezor’s re-appointment took effect
from October 3.

President Muhammadu Buhari has
congratulated the Super Eagles on
their victory over the Chipolopolo of
Zambia at the Godswill Akpabio
International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa
Ibom State on Saturday.

This is contained in a statement by his
spokesman, Femi Adesina.

The President, who described the hard-
earned victory as “very sweet, soothing
and a 57th Independence Anniversary
gift to the nation,” applauded the
nation’s senior men’s football team for
the feat of making Nigeria the first
African country to qualify for Russia
2018 FIFA World Cup tournament, with
a match left to play.

Buhari called on all Nigerians to apply
the values of perseverance, resilience,
discipline, hard work and team-spirit
which propelled the footballers to excel
since the beginning of the qualifying
matches, to all sectors of national life.
He promised that the Federal
Government will continue to support
the team within available resources so
that the nation will maximise the
unifying potentials of sports in general
and football in particular.

He enjoined the entire team and
Nigerian Football Federation (NFF)
officials to remain steadfast and
focused when they begin preparations
for the global football fiesta in order to
make Nigeria proud.

The statement quoted Buhari as urging
public, private organisations and well-
meaning Nigerians to continue to assist
the Super Eagles as the team heads for a
sixth appearance at the summit of
football competition.

The President also appreciated the
government of Akwa Ibom State for the
invaluable support it has been
rendering to the football team,
describing it as worthy of emulation.

The Nigerian Army has said the leader
of the Indigenous People of Biafra,
Nnamdi Kanu, has no means of
livelihood, but used “propaganda” to
make people believe him.

The Director, Army Public Relations,
Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, stated this in
Abuja while rounding off a two-day
media conference on the military’s
enhancement of human rights.

The army spokesman, who stressed the
need for a robust army-media
relationship towards enhancing national
security, said those people following the
IPOB leader were in a “one-chance
vehicle.”

“There was an allegation that somebody
(Kanu) went into hiding. Now, I can’t
remember the day but in an interview
on Channels TV, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s
younger brothers said that he was in
hiding and he knew where he was, ”
Mr. Usman said.
“And one lawyer came up that he has
taken the Chief of Army Staff to court.

Now, who gave you the brief? You said
you do not know where he (Kanu) is.
Now, who gave you the brief? And the
media is asking us where is Nnamdi
Kanu? Why not ask the man that said so
who gave him the brief to take people
to court when he does not know where
the man is?”
“…That is why those people following
him have entered into a one-chance
vehicle. This is somebody standing trial
in a criminal case.

Sometimes, whether we like it or not,
we want to stand against the truth. But
no matter how long, the truth will come
to pass on October 17. This is an
individual without a means of
livelihood.”
“I can speak eloquently. So what? If I
can speak like him, I can also have my
own group, that’s exactly what is
happening. So, what is the essence of
our education as a people? You know
that somebody is in a criminal case, and
you believe in him.”
The lead defence counsel to the IPOB
leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said the
statement of the military was an
“afterthought”, adding that the case was
in court.

“What we have put before the court is
that the army should produce Nnamdi
Kanu. The statement about his
credibility or his means of livelihood is
an afterthought. The case is already in
court,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Platform 2017 had as its theme: “Putting Together the Jigsaw Pieces that Form Nigeria’’.

The minister said that every Nigerian held the key to solving the nation’s challenges.

Enelemah said investments made in unearthing the challenges facing the nation and the philosophy of holding the right value propositions were geared towards creating a better nation.

The medical doctor turned financial expert noted that creating an enabling environment for all Nigerians and inspiring in a generation of Nigerians a committed cause would lead to a greater prosperity for all

The minister said that Nigerians have the “audacity of faith’’ that propels them to excel in any part of the world.

He explained that there was nothing wrong with Nigerians as a people, adding that the country’s system and environment could pose obstacles to the achievement of set goals.

Enelemah explained that the vision of the present administration was to make Nigeria one of the easiest, safest and best places to be in the world.

“The Buhari government is systematically laying a new foundation for a new Nigeria by creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive,’’ Enelamah said.

The minister, however, noted that the government could not do it alone, adding that public/private partnership was adopted internationally for the success of governments.

NAN reports that the platform is a media event that discusses topical issues that promote corporate governance and inspiring the younger generation for excellence.

talented, creative, successful and wealthy
musical artist that have taking the art of
singing music beyond the shores of West
Africa and Africa as whole.
That being said, some of this successful artist
still have their career blazing high above the
skies while some have gotten their career
blown away by foxy waves of dementia. On
this write-up, we bring you the Top 10
Nigerian Musical Artists we think have gotten
their careers dead either by their too much
show body or lack of releasing hit songs or
lack of following the latest music trends.

10. Ice prince.
No doubt this Nigerian rapper can arguably
still be classified as an A-list art not
withstanding his inability of releasing new
songs after his old hit songs faded away.
After releasing one of Nigerian biggest hits of
2016 titled “Molowo Noni” which he
collaborated with Tekno, ice Prince has gone
missing in the music industry…
We haven’t heard any new song from him,
maybe because no new bubbling artist is
willing to allow him feature them is his song
in other to revive his dead career or maybe
because his village people have finally tabled
his matter, and decided unanimously to
imprison his career.

9. Iyanya
Not too long ago this artist was one of the
biggest thing in the Nigerian music industry.
After winning the popular Mtn project fame
competition in 2008, Iyanya’s career was
elevated above the roofs and was further
more elevated above the skies with his then
Hit song Titled “Kukere” The Kukere song was
everywhere… Radios, clubs, parties and even
in some Governmental dinners (When GEJ was
president) Iyanya’s career seemed like it will
never get to a point where it will crash like a
computer system…
His current status in the Nigerian Musical
industry surprises us a lot… We’re yet to
decode the source of his current decline in
progress. However, we suspect his decline in
progress started after he started eating that
forbiddable fruit from Ghana that have
almost left him bankrupt.
Talking about bankruptcy, we believe Iyanya
currently is really really out of cash which is
why he signed up in Don Jazzy’s musical label
(Mavin’s record) Though his career is already
dead, we still believe Iyanya will be able to
resurrect it if he puts in more efforts… We
can still see that lightening energy in him.

8. Di’ja
Who do we have on our list? It’s Dija of
course! Mavin’s 2nd lady after Tiwa Savage….
This Lady is the first female on our list…. Its
really surprising she has to find herself
here…. Well she’s here because she hasn’t
been putting much effort in her career.
We believe 70% of Nigerian doesn’t know any
of her hit singles… The songs she did with Glo
as one of their ambassador is even more
popular than all her singles… Personally, we
don’t know up 5 of her songs… Her career was
a bit elevated when she collaborated with
Patoranking in the hit song “Falling for you”
Ever since madam is nowhere to be found…
We’re forced to believe she’s quit music to
take care of her baby since she’s now a
mom… We just hope when she’s back in the
studious she wouldn’t find her career lying
totally dead and buried with condolence
flowers on the grave.

6. Skales.
One would never forget to put Skales in the
list of musicians who are trying too hard but
no results… Talking about people who don’t
know their real talent skales comes to mind.
Though God blessed him with one mistake hit
song which didn’t last for up to 6 months, we
can still boldly conclude that skales career is
dead for now….
All the songs he released of recent made no
significant success, he’s trying too hard, we
feel he’s currently depressed from too much
work.
If you’re a music blogger you’ll notice Skales
have released more singles than Wizkid and
Davido combined but only one is well known
which is “Shake Body” since the “Shake Body”
success all the tracks he releases can be
compared to BlackBerry new devices…. No one
buys them anymore…. This only means one
thing, it means our guys career has kicked
the bucket.

5. Dprince
One wouldn’t be far from the truth Calling
Dprince a musician who got fame due to his
brother’s influence in the music industry.
Over the years, we’ve waited and waited for
Dprince to prove to us he isn’t just popular
because of his brother’s influence, but
because of his hard work and perseverance in
the very competitive music industry…. We’ve
waited for him to prove to us he deserves the
A-list standard and treatment he enjoys in
the Mavin dynasty but he always fails.
The only notable thing we think he’s done in
the music industry is releasing a one hit
wonder ‘Miss-Hit’ hit song titled “Oga
Titus” which we think he paid songwriters to
deliver for him so as not to totally get his
career buried and sent to the deepest part of
musical hell by the foxy breeze of dementia….
We’re forced to believe his career is dead
and will take a very strong miracle to
resurrect.

4. Omawumi.
Being the second lady on our list an one of
the female musicians in Nigeria with really
good vocals, one would ponder why Omawumi’s
songs doesn’t get much buzz in Africa or in
Nigeria.
As sad as it may sound, We’re forced to
conclude that this ladies career is dead and
buried in the Nigerian musical industry since
its very evident she’s would not be anywhere
to be found in Nigeria’s Top 50 hottest Acts as
of now assuming someone decides to come up
with a list.
She doesn’t follow trends, she allowed new
acts bury her… The adverts she did with Glo
and the Collabo she did in Dagrin’s tribute
song are considered a bigger hit than her
entire singles and Albums (if she had any)

3. 9ice
Really sad 9ice had to make this list. I was
Personally one of his biggest fans during his
rainy days…. I could remember perfectly all
the lines in one of his hit song titled ”Gongo
Aso “, That song was like the biggest thing as
of then, it was more popular amongs the
South Westerners.
However, we can perfectly trace his mishap or
decline in progress in his musical career after
his failed marriage.
He went missing for a while before coming
back to the industry, he made some couple of
failed Collaboration before releasing his
current singles.
Though its clearly evident that Mr 9ice career
is dead, we’re not certainly sure if it’s buried
or nay. He’s really really working hard this
days to get back to his formal position. We’ve
seen couple of his new singles in My TV Africa
which we believe is progress….. We advice he
keeps trying hard in other not to get his
career totally buried by the gods of music.

2. Duncan Mighty
As one of the hottest act we had back in the
days. His career was high above the clouds,
anything he said made waves around the
country, Still can remember one popular line
in his song “Mercy Johnson nearly touch my
rod” that made waves across the country….
Fans were contemplating among themselves if
the musician really had a secret romance
with the A-list NollyWood actress. Well as
they say, Time changes everything…
Time in this case changed my guys Career
from Bubbling to stumbling…. We can
comfortably say this musician has lost his
place in the Nigerian music industry… His new
songs no longer makes sense…. Nigerian have
gone beyond that… We’re now selective of the
type of noise we celebrate which I think is
progress.

1. Black face.
During the days, Blackface a member of the
plantation boys Trio which included legends
like 2face and perhaps Faze was one of the
big things in the industry. Things started
getting bad and worst for him after his music
clique as of then broke up and decided to
each go solo…
Blackface however, surprised us back then
with one hit song titled “Erimma” which was
his first and last hit song since he became a
single artist. Blackface claims one of his best
song which would’ve become one of the biggest
ever green song in Africa was stolen by his
then musical partner 2face.
We’re really forced to debunk this fact since
blackface haven’t provided us with enough
evidence to backup his claims. I mean, if he
really insist his song was stolen, why not drag
the culprit to court and lay your evidence?
Ever since this incidence of theft, blackface
have being struggling with his career, we
follow him on Instagram so we know what
were talking about…
Blackface have released couple of songs which
we believe only like 100 people out of
Nigeria’s 170million population listened to.
He’s being trying really hard to make waves
in the industry not knowing the unfortunate
has happened… His career is long dead, the
music industry have left him behind,
Nigerians no longer Gbadu his sounds and
beats, even his mode of dressing in like that
of the 80’s.
Recently he tried the blackhat strategy…
Blackhat strategy here simply means trying to
play victim so that people might pity you and
perhaps support you or stand on your side. He
tried using the incidence of thievery that
happened between him and 2face idibia to
get the sympathy of Nigerians and probably
cunningly revived his long assassinated
career.
The strategy didn’t work! Nigerians are way
smarter, we know a really hard working
musician if we see one…. Its best Blackface
start up something new since its way way
obvious his career is long dead, killed,
assassinated and buried by the gods of
music!

My father’s words echoed in my head the rest
of the day, his stern angry face kept
flashing in my mind like it was my brain’s
official wall paper.

Everything was beginning to seem impossible; I
already had too many setbacks to deal with
and now I just added pressure from my
family, severe pressure to quit my hustle, my
passion, my first love, MUSIC.

Believe me no other person in this country
gives himself hope like an upcoming artist,
chai we get hope full body. “One day I go
blow ” “Soon my music go enter street ” “ I go
dey earn big ” that’s the spirit but it’s not
easy. You see I hustle hard for money to
record a track, struggle to promote the song
in the best way I can, buy okrika or boutique
clothes to wear for shows, transport myself to
a show I wasn’t even invited to talk more of
getting paid, buy myself a bottle of beer, beg
to perform, waste my energy jumping on
stage, and most times trek back home and I
still believe one day “Baba God go do am ”.

“ Enough of this rubbish now look here Mr
Man , its either you start thinking about
furthering your education or you join your
brother in the market and become useful to
yourself and this family or leave my house. I
give you three weeks, Moyosore three weeks to
make a decision >:(” my father had shouted
that evening.

Even segun my elder brother who had always
supported me from the onset was like “Moyo
you know you need to start doing something
with your life”.

His message was crystal clear I wasn’t doing
anything. Now I know you are feeling my
condition.

By the way forgive my manners let me
introduce myself, my names are Moyosore
Henry Atobatele a.k.a Trust, yea Trust is my
nickname, my stage name, don’t ask me how
I came about that name, I am the fourth
child of five children, two boys and three
girls, I finished my secondary education
couple of years back and wasn’t thinking
about anything else than music.
The thing is I have this serious flare for
music and believe me I do good music. People
who have listened to my songs tell me they
are cool. One great thing is I have real
friends who would critic my songs and tell me
where I need to make corrections unlike
friends who would nod and hail you when
they know your track is the definition of a
whack job.

Even a small child in my street where I live
could comfortably sing my song. I was a
celebrity in my hood but that was definitely
not the type of success I wanted for myself,
because it came with zero money the only
benefit I got from that type of fame is that
it attracted the attention of local area girls
(hello upcoming artist know what I mean-
they can relate well) as for me I wanted
those hot beautiful slay queens I use to see
on the internet
So Trust (that’s me) performs at different
hangouts, clubs, bar and even beer parlors
where I was paid very little or on most
occasion nothing. Sometimes I would even beg
to perform in events; how much it hurts after
running from one end of the stage to the
other with all that energy to thrill the crowd.

The funny audience might not even clap or
show any sign of appreciation. The MC would
have to beg like “please let’s put our hands
together for him” or “please let’s clap and
appreciate the young man” before the morons
will clap :'(
I live in an era where an upcoming artist
requesting for financial appreciation from
an event organizer before or after an event is
a taboo, it’s a sin, infact it is a big crime.
I remember when I met with the organizer of
an event I was invited to perform at and was
like “Baba you go show me small love o” the
organizer started their normal story “Trust
you be my person you know be outsider,
honestly our budget is tight.
On other occasions organizers will be like “i
will lodge u and feed you but I can’t
guarantee payment”. The most annoying are
the ones that will tell me they are doing me a
favor they be like “Trust don’t you know
performing in my show is a kind of promotion
for you”.

Back to my father’s words I had just three
weeks to come up with something. 3 weeks to
blow or quit music and I had to act fast…

A Belgian model Marisa Papen forced to
spend a night in an Egyptian jail after being
caught posing nude in an ancient temple has
said she is determined to keep up her ‘yell
for freedom’ in conservative Islamic
countries.

Papen who describes herself as a ‘free-
spirited and wild-hearted expressionist’,
travelled with photographer Jesse Walker to
North Africa for a shoot at some of the most
famous landmarks of ancient Egypt.

The nude photo model, from the Flanders
region of Belgium, met up in Cairo with
photographer Walker who flew in all the way
from Australia to do the shoot.

And even though the pair said they were
aware of the cultural, political and religious
differences between Egypt and the West when
it comes to nudity, the adventure ended
differently than they both expected.

Early in their trip during the first photoshoot
near the famous pyramids of Giza, the two
got into trouble.

They reportedly bribed a security guard to
start the photoshoot when two other men
showed up.
Papen said: ‘I was suddenly completely
awake, like a cold shower at 5am in the
morning.

‘We tried to explain them that we were
making art with the highest respect for
Egyptian culture, but they could not see a
connection between nudity and art.
‘In their eyes it was porn, or something like
that.’

In the end, Papen and Walker managed to
stay out of trouble by bribing them with £15.

After Giza, the two travelled to Luxor to visit
the vast temple complex of Karnak to shoot
pictures with the theme of ‘dance’, which is
where their trip unraveled.

There is no (real) battle for supremacy as
far as music from the street goes. Olamide is
the overlord and he reigns supreme while
other indigenous rappers tussle for leftover
titles. Olamide occupies the influential
positions that there is in ‘street music’ – he is
the ‘voice of the street’, ‘the King of street’
and ‘baddest (perhaps greatest) guy ever
liveth.’

Apparently, the King of the street is content
with the territory he commands. On several
occasions, he has maintained that he won’t
go out of his way to appeal to the
international community – indeed, but what
if international success was freely given and
not needing strategic planning or extra
effort, would Olamide still say no to awoof?
Olamide is taking a conservative approach to
this international market penetration and it
is understandable considering that it seems
better to have an egg today than a hen
tomorrow. Olamide has a firm grip on the
local market but some observers believe he is
not just ‘street material,’ they say he is
Hollywood material and they would rather bet
on him to ‘blow’ on the international scene
than on Barcelona in an El-Classico match.

MMG rapper, Wale is one of such persons and
he seems to see an international worthiness in
Olamide. Thus he has given the YBNL boss
opportunities to make a claim for
international exposure not even once nor
twice, but multiple times even, yet the YBNL
boss chose to stay ‘street’.
Here is a list of 5 times Olamide had the
opportunity but failed to impress the
international community:

1) Fine Girl (Wale ft. Olamide & Davido):
Featuring on this song is Olamide’s best
chance at international exposure yet, the
song made Wale’s Shine album and of course,
the album sold majorly in the US market, the
headquarter of global music and sadly, the
best Olamide could produce was ‘fine girl to
nidi nla’ – really?
I mean don’t expect him to do anything other
than indigenous rap but make it believable
and appealing to the new audience. Say
something aptly creative, like in the context
of Fine Girl, say ‘that the girl’s eyes are the
only Christmas light that deserve to be seen’
tell them, ‘she has a walk that can make an
atheist believe in God long enough to say
Goddamn’.
Say something creative like that in Yoruba
and foreigners would want to cross borders to
get more of Olamide’s indigenous rap.

2) Allelu (Wale ft. Don Jazzy, Olamide &
Reekado Banks): On this song, Wale featured
some of the best Nigerian music stars in
various capacities; arguably our best
indigenous rapper, one of our best Afro-Pop
stars and an elite producer.
Understandably, Don Jazzy played around
because he has nothing to prove as a singer,
Reekado delivered on his promise but again,
Badoo was singing nursery rhymes. No one
outside Nigeria would take a nursery-rhyme
singing yoruba rapper seriously, especially
when there are so many up and coming
rappers doing the true gospel of Hip-hop.

3) Make Us Proud (Olamide ft. Wale) :
Featuring a rapper like Wale gives the song
some sort of international exposure, whether
it is admitted or not. M ake Us Proud must
have initially caught the attention of music
lovers outside Africa but the attention would
likely not have turned to love because
Olamide was less than impressive on the song
again.

4) Toka Remix (BeCa x AKA x Olamide):
Olamide has fallen my hands on more than
one occasion when it comes to taking a bigger
bite of the apple but he knows how to redeem
himself. However, his recent Coke Studio
performance is unforgivable.
Olamide performed alongside two beautiful
east African singers and South African
artiste, AKA. Sadly, Olamide appeared on
stage sounding not different from Dammy
Krane, his singing was below average and
disappointingly, AKA committed the same sin.
At the point of Olamide’s introduction, the
performance started to look like a talent
show audition and Olamide seemed like a
contestant that is destined for a NO! This was
an Africa-wide platform; West Africa, East
Africa and the South were watching and still
Olamide failed to sell anything worth asking
for more.

5) Summer Body (Olamide ft. Davido): On
Summer Body, Olamide did the unusual,
although mildly, he seems to have a new
audience in mind when he was recording the
song.
He went for an English worded hook on that
song, save for the pamuregeji part and
perhaps he thought the song would put him on
the international map, especially when he
had an internationally soaring artiste as a
guest on the track and of course, he was
singing about a sexy lady with the ‘summer
body’ but who around here knows what
summer body girls look like?
Maybe those people on the outside of Africa
and perhaps those were his target audience
on Summer Body. Around here, a girl is either
hot or not. But with the ‘packaging’ did the
song hit the new market well? NO!
Olamide’s near absence on the field of
international march doesn’t seem to be
resulting from lack of interest but a function
of unsuccessful attempts and maybe due to
his conservatism. However, his local content
which he is best at creating, are beginning to
find their way to the audience abroad.
For instance, US producer Swizz Beats made
a good show grooving to Wo! and maybe it’s a
sign that Olamide would break into the
international market but honestly, that seems
beyond belief.

want.

3. Capture And Pictures And Videos Instantly

camera and send.

8. Read Messages Without Blue Ticks Showing
In Whatsapp one tick means message sent,
two tick messages received/delivered, blue
tick message read.
If you don’t want to let your contact know
you have read their messages go to menu>
settings>accounts> privacy > untick read
receipts. At this place for android users you
can also modify your last seen, who see your
profile photos etc.

9. Quick H@ck For Read Messages
Referring to number 8 if you deactivate your
read receipts you also cannot see when they
read your message.
So to eat your cake and still have it without
having to deactivate your read receipt, once
you have received the messages you want to
read without letting them know, put your
phone on airplane mode. Go to whatsapp,
read the messages, when you are done close
it then turn –off your airplane mode.

10. Stop Whatsapp Auto Download Of Media
Files
To conserve data and or storage space you
can stop incoming pictures and videos
automatically saving to your phone just go to
Settings -> Chats -> turn off Save Incoming
Media.

11. Save Whatsapp Status
Yes you can save any whatsapp status of your
choice, be it a video or picture, after viewing
it, then you can save it on your phone gallery
or any other folder of your choice for later
purposes,

12. Save And Install Android Applications Or
Games On Whatsapp
Yes, on whatsapp you can send and receive/
save any android application, sending it as
long as you have the APK file of the android

app; just follow the steps below
step1: go to file manager

step2: find the apk file of the app/game you
want to send

step3: rename that apk file, where you see
apk erase is and type doc or txt

step4: long press that file then click share

then via whatsapp eg: you send NARUTO. it
will be Naturo.apk so change it to Naruto.doc
or Naruto.txt then send it.
